Local amenities
There are several local shops and mini-markets, within a 10 minute walk from the villa, where it is possible to purchase milk, bread, water, etc. However, if you want something larger, there is a big supermarket (Migross) which is a 10 minute bus ride away.
Local transport
The local bus stops right outside the villa, but a 5 minute walk along the road will enable you to pick up a frequent bus service which will take you to Fethiye, and beyond. There is also a plentiful supply of taxi cabs.
However, if you are planning to go to Fethiye from Calis, why not take the watertaxi. This will drop you right in the heart of Fethiye harbour, which also boasts many bars and restaurants, and a bazaar which comes to life at night, where you can wander around the many shops and stalls selling traditional Turkish specialities.
There is also a fish market, where you can pick your own fish, and for a small fee, a local restaurant will cook it, and serve it with a side of chips and salad. An experience not to be missed!
Bars and restaurants in Calis
For such a small resort, there are so many establishments to choose from that you could stay for 3 months and probably never frequent them all.
Most of these are situated opposite the beach, from where you can eat and drink the evening away, whilst listening to the sounds of the waves lapping the beach.
There is only one nightclub in Calis, for the more energetic, however entertainment takes place in most of the bars into the early hours, in spite of this the resort caters for couples and families with children. For more information.......click here.
